How To Clean Water Bottles from Iron Flask

If you’re wondering how to clean water bottles from Iron Flask, you’ve come to the right place! Made with ultra-durable stainless steel, our bottles are built to last.

When you bring home your new Iron Flask, it’s best to clean it before use. But please remember — that beautiful powder-coated finish on your Iron Flask does not do well in the dishwasher. The best way to keep your Iron Flask clean and in excellent shape is to wash it by hand only with warm, soapy water. Here are a couple of tips on how to properly care for your favorite bottle from day one.

How To Clean Your Stainless Steel Water Bottle

Never put your Iron Flask in the dishwasher; high temperatures and the wash process can affect the powder-coated finish on your bottle. Instead, use warm soapy water to wash your Iron Flask inside and out. We recommend using a designated bottle brush to gently scrub and sanitize the inside of your bottle. The result is a squeaky clean and well-maintained water bottle that will last a lifetime.

How To Clean Spots Off Your Metal Water Bottle

For a little extra cleaning power, put ¼ to ½ cup of distilled vinegar inside the bottle and gently swirl it around. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes, which will help remove any spots inside the bottle. For hard to remove spots, mix 3 teaspoons of baking soda with a little bit of water and scrub thoroughly with a bottle cleaning brush. Since it is made with premium stainless steel, your Iron Flask should not develop any rust; any stubborn spots can be removed using the cleaning method mentioned above.

How To Clean Retro Water Bottles

One of our bestselling products, the retro cola water bottle, comes with a specially designed bottle brush, making it easy and convenient to keep sparkling clean and looking like new for years to come. Just like cleaning our line of stainless steel wide-mouth bottles and tumbler cups, simply wash with hot soapy water, using the bottle brush to clean the inside.

How To Clean Lids & Straws

Along with your collection of reusable water bottles, lids and straws also need to be cleaned and sanitized on a daily basis. Thanks to the durable, BPA-free and non-toxic materials used in our lids, you can safely wash your lids in the dishwasher: simply place them lengthwise in your dishwasher’s top rack or stacked with the utensils. We also recommend cleaning your lids and straws with a gentle, size appropriate brush, which comes with our set of replacement straw lids.

Important Reminder: Do not place your Iron Flask in the microwave or freezer; this can cause damage to your appliances and your bottle.

Keep in mind that Iron Flask bottles are insulated to maintain the temperature of the liquids placed inside them no matter the external temperature. These bottles truly defy the elements, which also means that placing your bottle in the freezer has no effect on its ability to maintain your beverage’s icy coldness.
